Sent on behalf of friends of Randy Starkman and Family

Dear Friends in Canadian Sport/Media:

In the shock and sadness at the loss of our dear friend Randy Starkman, many of us were amazed at the strength shown by his grieving family, particularly his daughter, Ella.

Her moving eulogy to her dear “Papa” showed how tight knit the trio of Randy, Mary and Ella is.

Since Randy first took ill, many of us have asked and been asked: “Is there anything we can do?”

In response, we have decided to set-up a trust fund for Ella. We hope it will serve as a reminder to her how much her dad was admired, respected and loved by his colleagues and those he covered.
