A powder for dry and severe cold conditions
BlackFox performs well in severe cold even with low humidity . The operating range is wider when the snow is dirty. Use either an SF or HF series Blue or Green glider as a basewax for the GoldFox powder.
Application:
Cold: Sprinkle the powder on the glide surfaces. Rub the powder either with a manual hand cork or a rotocork until it forms an even, smooth layer on the glide surfaces. With a rotocork apply only light pressure. Let the powder cool and then finish with a brush matched to the conditions. If needed, the application can be repeated by corking the powder dust generated by the brushing over again. Always complete the application with a thorough brushing.
Hot: Sprinkle the powder and rub lightly using a natural cork ensuring an even spread throughout the glide surfaces. A light rubbing of the powder prior to ironing is a requirement for a successful application. Without the initial rubbing, the graphite contained in the powder will not sufficiently spread into an even layer resulting in reduced overall performance. Use a mild iron setting, approximately 110°C as the powder does not need to fully melt. Cool the bases thoroughly and brush vigorously to finish.

Hardening powders are designed for conditions in which the track or the skating surface is exceptionally abrasive. For example, on artificial snow or especially when the snow re-freezes after a long period of thaw. In comparison to plain conventional or fluor glide waxes, using the hardening powder additives in icy snow conditions, results in superior durability and abrasion resistance.

Molybden Fluor Powder, suitable for wet conditions and temperatures just below freezing, -2...-3°C. It is easy to use, even without previous experience of fluor powders. A wax powder in MF-1 protects ski bases from overheating, and the ski bases do not "dry up" as easily as with high fluor powders.
Molybden in the powder effectively reduces dirt contamination
Application:
Use HF or LF wax, appropriate for the quality of snow and humidity, as a base wax. Very carefully brush the layer of wax that will be under the layer of powder with a nylon brush. Make sure you brush it sufficiently with a brass or stainless steel brush. The importance of carefully brushing base waxes is especially evident in conditions around the freezing point and in wet conditions. Polish the bottom of the skis before applying the powder.
Iron the powder using the maximum temperature on the waxing iron (Vauhti waxing iron). Cool the ironed area and carefully brush it with a nylon brush. If the snow is clingy or very dirty, then finish off the brushing with a few, light, powder-brass or -stainless steel strokes.

A specialty powder with a graphite additive for near freezing and wet conditions
The improved composition of Silverfox G is much harder and wear resistant than the regular white Silverfox. The optimal working range is coarse wet conditions and in general, all wet conditions where the snow is dirty. The working range extends below freezing to about -1°C on new moist snow and on old snow to about -3°C.
Application:
Cold: Sprinkle the powder on the glide surfaces. Rub the powder either with a manual hand cork or a rotocork until it forms an even, smooth layer on the glide surfaces. A specialty powder for drenched, thoroughly wet conditions The composition of Silverfox is improved for performance in very wet conditions. The optimal range extends from slushy wet to wet and sticky conditions around the freezing point. SilverFox is not recommend when the temperature is colder than the freezing point. It is also not recommended for use in dirty snow.
Application:
Does not require any special considerations/techniques. It can be ordinarily rubbed on cold or ironed. When ironing on, use a temperature setting where the product melts completely – approximately 120 -130°C.

A powder for mild, below freezing conditions. The composition of ZeroFox is also improved. It is harder than its predecessor and its optimal working range is broader. The powder also tolerates dry snow substantially better than the previous version. The improved working range extends, under normal humidity, from freezing all the way down to -4°C.
Application:
Does not require any special considerations/techniques. It can be rubbed on cold or ironed on normally. Use an iron temperature between 130-140°C to ensure complete melting of the powder.

Vauhti product development team makes continuous innovations and has improved the FC products to a high level. These products have superb characteristics. They minimize the surface energy of the ski base, making it super-hydrophobic and dirt-repelling. At the same time, they are excellent in cold conditions to reduce dry friction. The speed, glide sensitivity, and durability of the FC-powders are excellent in all weather conditions. With versatile application methods every skier will benefit, even the lightweight skiers.
